SOFITEL MONTREAL GOLDEN MILE, Montreal – Your ideal downtown stay

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were spacious with a wonderful bathroom, but my corner room was really tiny and cramped. The service was exceptional, with courteous staff, but they struggled with simple instructions sometimes. The location was convenient, just blocks from the Museum of Fine Arts, but the design was not the best I have seen. The dining experience was high quality with caring staff, but the price was a bit expensive. The facilities were good overall, catering to all basic needs.

The hotel had some drawbacks, like tiny and uncomfortable rooms with limited space, especially for visitors, and difficulty controlling the room temperature, but the clean, bright, and well-cared rooms compensated for it. The service was professional and polite, and the staff was willing and capable of assisting with various needs. The location was excellent, especially for attending events at McGill, offering easy access to downtown Montreal. Dining was excellent but on the pricey side. Despite flaws in room size and temperature control, the overall stay was enjoyable and met expectations.
